Fishing Trips and Rates
Because of the availability of fish off Islamorada,
it is possible to offer several fishing trips of different duration,
any of which can be successful for targeting fish within their range.
Our
fishing trips include everything related to fishing, but you need to
bring food, drink, sunblock, sunglasses, etc. Our experienced first
mate will help with the fishing and ensure that you have an exceptional
fishing trip in the Florida Keys.
We also offer Split Charters.
Catch 'em Close or Far
A real plus when you charter out of Islamorada is that fishing for many species starts just 3 miles out. This means that if you are short on time, a partial day trip can produce plenty of fishing action. On the other end of the spectrum, you may want to target the ultimate trophy: Swordfish. Here we wish 30-40 miles out seeking these daytime deep dwellers.
Smorgasbord of Fishing
In addition to sailfish and dolphin, there are more fish species in the area than any other in the U.S. Some of the species you may encounter on your charter trip include 10 types of Grouper, 8 types of Snapper, 12 types of Shark, 5 types of Jack, 3 types of Tuna, 3 types of Mackerel, Dolphin, Sailfish, Marlin, Swordfish, Wahoo, Cobia, Permit, African Pompano, Tilefish, Triple Tail, Barrelfish, and others that slip my mind. (View various photos of these fish found in the Florida Keys).
What Works Best for Catching Fish
We use live bait when targeting most species because it has shown itself to be superior to dead bait or artificial technologies. Fishing techniques we employ include trolling, kite fishing, anchoring, jigging, and deep dropping. Different fish require different approaches to be most successful.
Anyone can Give it a Try
We welcome families, fishing novices, and experienced anglers on the Redfish. Our experienced First Mate will provide for your safety and comfort throughout the trip, and will assist you with all aspects of the fishing trip.
